CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE
SUMMER 2012
One of the highlights of the year for me is to attend the Chinese school prize giving in early December each year. Our school is run from two locations, Onehunga Primary School and our premises at New North Road. The school seems to be thriving with a good number of pupils from an infant class through to teenagers. It's always a thrill to see the abilities of the children increase as they grow older. Another thrill is to see non-ethnic Chinese children wanting to learn Chinese. This is testament to the strength of China and those who want to interact with it. A grand finale put on by the whole school was touching enough to bring tears to the eyes of our former chairman, Thomas Doo. Tom has always been a great supporter of the school.
I would like to wish you and your families all the very best for Christmas and the New Year. A special message of Christmas blessings to Welly Choy, our Treasurer, who suffered a stroke in November. Welly seems to be coming right and we wish him a speedy recovery.
Warmest best wishes
Arthur Loo
