CHINESE LANGUAGE SCHOOL

(A) CHILDRENS CHINESE SCHOOL

For the new year of 2018, the Chinese School for children of ages 5 to 17, will have seven classes from elementary to intermediate level. Chinese and non-Chinese (Kiwi) students are welcome to enroll.

First term classes will commence on the Sunday 4 February 2018.

TO ENROLL, at the school on the first day of school, Sunday 4 February at 10.00am.

New students may enroll at any time during a term. School fees will be adjusted accordingly.

• The pupils are taught the simplified characters, and using the Chinese Pinying phonetic system. We use the standard text book produced by the Chinese Overseas Department in China and issued by the Auckland Chinese Consulate General Office in Auckland.
• All teachers are Teachers Training College or tertiary qualified, as well as having teaching experience in China and NZ.
• We are rated as one of the top three registered Chinese Schools in Auckland.

Chinese Language School 2018

(B) ADULT CANTONESE AND MANDARIN LANGUAGE CLASSES

The object of the Adult Cantonese and Mandarin classes is to teach fluency in the spoken language, using the English phonetic system. We do not teach the reading and writing of Chinese characters. It is a very practical course, with emphasis on speaking and conversation.

Classes for 2018 will recommence in the new year on Sunday, 4 February 2018, at the usual time of 10:00am to 1:00pm.

A Great Way To Meet New Friends And To Keep Fit

Learn the basic steps and have fun dancing the Cha Cha, Rock N Roll, Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba plus a few fun dances.

People are available to show you the easy basic steps so that you can have some fun when you go to parties, weddings and socials.

Every Sunday: 7.30pm to 10.00pm

Social, Line Dancing & Practice Dancing with a break for a cuppa at 9pm

PICKLEBALL 2019

Pickleball is a fun sport enjoyed by millions of people worldwide. A cross between tennis, badminton and table tennis, pickleball is played on a badminton doubles-sized court using paddles and a hollow, plastic ball with holes in it (also known as a wiffle ball). The net is slightly lower than a tennis net.

Come along and learn how to play this fun new game. All equipment supplied.
